Job Description
- Req#: JR5679
- Ensure that all vehicles are painted and maintained to a high standard either by hand or using spray painting equipment.
- Work alongside the technicians to ensure timely repairs to vehicles.
- Keep all workshop facilities, equipment, and tools clean, tidy and well maintained.
- Disposal and cleaning of used painting equipment.
- Wear personal protective equipment when appropriate and follow our health and safety procedures.
- Support the development of young trainees and apprentices.

Average earnings of around £28,000 per annumStagecoach Manchester are currently looking to recruit a vehicle painter to join their team at Hyde Road Depot, working Monday to Friday.

Role Description: -
At Stagecoach, we’re offering you an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in painting and maintaining at our Hyde Road depot. As a painter, you’ll be directly responsible for ensuring that our buses and other vehicles are painted to the highest possible standard to reflect our brand.
You’ll be expected to have a certain level of competency and prior experience when it comes to painting vehicles and you’ll ensure that at least one vehicle per week is completed.
We expect that you will be able to effectively communicate at all levels on a written and verbal basis and be flexible enough to adapt to new processes and develop new skills when required, and participate in training and development activities.
We’ll also expect you to be an active member of our busy team, being able to work on your own initiative and alongside our mechanics and other painters.

Who are you:
You’ll have experience of painting and maintaining vehicles to a high standard with experience of both hand painting and spray painting. You’ll have qualifications relevant to the preparation and painting of vehicles. A basic knowledge of computer software packages including Word, Excel and Outlook is preferred, as is a general level of computer literacy. Finally, we’d expect you to have a basic working knowledge of vehicle technology.
