Position Description
· Strategic Meetings Management Support
o Utilization of CWT or client meetings technology to source and support Venue Sourcing Solutions
o Conduct hotel space searches for 100% of workload through Cvent.
o Complete understanding of the functionality of Cvent in order to advice/educate clients.
o Negotiate best possible rates and program concessions for the component of SMM Procurement, leveraging client supplier relationships, utilizing processes and procedures outlined in the client agreements.
o Be knowledgeable of the client(s) contracting process and legal addendums
o Provide guidance and offer recommendations to team members not actively involved in SMM Procurement on a daily basis.
o Build and maintain strong client knowledge by attending regularly scheduled calls to further define and improve processes and procedures
· Destination Expertise
o Stay current on industry trends, through internal and external training.
o Attend regular supplier presentations.
o Participate in weekly team meetings.
· Communication
o Ensure client is appropriately informed of and represented in all terms and conditions contained in the client contract process and their legal addendums
o Proactively escalate potential client or supplier issues to manager/Account Director/IR for resolution.
o Fully support the larger Strategic Travel & Event Procurement Team through workload sharing, and brainstorming.
o Works collaboratively across teams to ensure a seamless flow of information that supports client use of multiple CWT services.

Position Requirements
Experience & education:
· Experience
o An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
o Minimum 3 years of current relative Sourcing and Meeting Planning experience required.
o College diploma or degree in related field.
o CMP designation / Formal project management designation/training are assets.
· Languages
o Fluent in English
· Knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs)
o Knowledge of web based registration tools is a plus.
o Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
o Computer proficiency in Microsoft office suite.
o Proven negotiating skills.
o Strong financial acumen.
o Strong multi-tasker who works well under pressure.
o Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
o Proven ability in project management.
o Ability to travel.
