      Job Description

      As part of the MLSE Venue and Operations team, you will lend day to day support to the Safety & Security and Building Operations teams. Collectively we are responsible for “day of” operations and program design for both the safety and security and operations programs. This includes operational and emergency plans, security and safety awareness campaigns, standard operating procedures, and training courses as it relates to safety & security and operations and at Maple Leafs Sports & Entertainment (MLSE).

      Reporting to the Director, Corporate Safety Programs, the Venue and Operations Program Design Intern will have the unique opportunity to support on projects related to the design and development of in-house safety and security programs and operational plans. This includes identifying, designing, and analyzing documents, standards, and policies as it relates to training programs while supporting the Venue and Operations management teams in creating compliance programs for their team(s).

      MLSE’s Internship term dates are from January 8, 2024 - April 26, 2024

      Responsibilities:

      • Collaborate and consult with internal and external team members and other business units to identify requirements, establish learning objectives and assessment strategies
      • Design and develop high-quality business materials (manuals, presentation, and job-aids) for a wide variety of stakeholders who require specialized documentation
      • Create and maintain standardized templates, operating procedures, maps / drawings, and related processes to assist in the overall improvement of Venue and Operations programs
      • Work in tandem with team members to ensure that documents are standardized
      • Support the Operations Leadership team with a range of tasks, including administrative and physical support to our venues

      Qualifications

      • Currently enrolled in a university or college degree/diploma in a document design, visual information packaging, or related field
      • Ability to conduct business and communicate in a professional manner
      • Ability to perform well under pressure, multi-task, and meet multiple deadlines
      • Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
      • Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
      • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) and Adobe Creative Cloud required
      • Previous experience developing policies, procedures and training manuals is considered an asset.
      • You are fully vaccinated against Covid-19
