      Job Title:

      Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis

      Pay Details:

      The annual base salary range for this position in California is $220,345 to $269,310 per year. The starting pay for the successful candidate depends on various job-related factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education/training, internal value, peer equity, external market demands, and organizational considerations.

      The VP, FP&A for ocV!BE S&E will lead financial operations, advising the C-Suite on all financial matters. The VP, FP&A will ideally have experience managing the financial operations and driving growth and profitability of a diverse privately held and/or founder-led organization in the sports and entertainment industry. The VP, FP&A will have extensive experience in financial planning and analysis and strategic planning. The incumbent will produce insightful analysis and financial reporting for internal meetings and executive leadership and lead the development of all key budgetary, cash flow, and investment reports.

      Responsibilities

      • Supervise and direct the financial and business analytics functions for ocV!BE S&E, including financial/strategic planning, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting

      • Produce insightful financial planning and analysis and financial reporting for Executive Committee meetings, providing regular updates on the fiscal state of ocV!BE S&E

      • Develop and implement financial strategies that support the overall business objectives of the company

      • Build operating business plans with the various ocV!BE management teams around definable, measurable operating metrics and desired outcomes

      • Engage with the data analytics group and VP, Consumer Insights group to incorporate customer learnings into the operating plans

      • Manage financial staff working within ocV!BE S&E

      • Assist in the development of annual budgets and monitor ocV!BE S&E profitability, operating budgets, cash flow, and investments

      • Work with the executive team to assist with the balance of ocV!BE S&E resources

      • Oversee short and long-term cash planning in conjunction with the family office Treasury department

      • Assist in developing and managing banking relations in conjunction with the ocV!be S&E CFO and family office CFO

      • Establish key performance indicators for senior finance and accounting staff while providing motivation, direction, and timely feedback for both professional and personal growth

      • Serve as a leader with all stakeholders, fostering cross-functional teamwork and promoting a culture of high performance and complete integrity

      • Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to the CFO, CEO, and Board of Directors

      • Collaborate with other executives to develop and implement the company’s overall strategy

      • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity, making recommendations and acting as needed to ensure the company remains competitive and relevant in the market

      Skills

      • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA preferred

      • Minimum 15 years of experience in progressively senior financial management roles, with a strong track record of multiple department supervision and success leading and delivering results in a matrix environment

      • Must be familiar with strategy development and experience with managing a complex organization through a formalized goal-setting process

      • Knowledge of Objective and Key Result (OKR) tactics is a positive

      • Knowledge of current methods and practices of accounting, auditing, budget preparation, and program analysis

      • Strong knowledge of industry trends and best practices

      • Must have a strong background in diverse business environments, with an entrepreneurial spirit and clear vision from which long-term planning is achieved

      • Experience pulling diverse data sources together to gain unseen insights into customer behavior with the intent of driving increased ARPU (customer visits)

      • Experience partnering with both the technology organization and business leaders to effectively build out a data environment that will allow for timely insights, effective dashboards, and predictive analytics

      • Experience in a privately held or founder-led company is a plus

      • Experience in the sports and entertainment industry is a plus

      • History of leading business analytics teams

      • Goal and success-driven – be the change agent for the company

      • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

      • Strong leader with a proven history of developing and leading a high-performing team

      • Detailed operating knowledge of financial analysis, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including GAAP

      • Must have strong analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills, with a unique ability to build trust and confidence among partners and colleagues alike

      • Able to communicate financial information effectively, persuasively, and appropriately in all communication mediums, including oral and written form

      • Able to quickly frame the “big picture” in complex situations by linking information or by considering an abstract or longer-term perspective

      • Able to work collaboratively with other executives and stakeholders

      Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

      Education - Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA preferred
