      President of Human Resources (VP of HR)

      The Vice President of Human Resources (VP of HR) is responsible for leading Exceptional Living Center’s (ELC) Human Capital strategy through the optimization of people, processes, and programs. As a member of the Executive Team, the VP of HR participates in informing and shaping corporate strategy to serve the organization’s strategic goals and programs. The VP of HR balances strategic leadership with a strong operational approach to achieve objectives in all HR areas including workforce planning; talent acquisition, talent development and retention; employee relations and performance management; compensation and benefits; and compliance with federal, state and local regulations.

      As the VP of HR you will:

      Partner with executive leadership and key stakeholders to ensure HR is leveraged to support the direction and growth of the organization.

      Align the HR investment with the needs of the organization; lead the HR planning, prioritization process, ensuring sound HR programs and policies.

      Serve as a strategic business partner in order to identify best practices and anticipate emerging trends and innovations ensuring ELC is successful in recruiting and retaining a high quality and stable workforce.

      Provide counsel and guidance to ensure employee relations are resolved professionally and equitably and strive to successfully mitigate employee issues.

      Ensure HR delivers high levels of customer service to the business through the appropriate use of people, process, technology, and metrics.

      Ensure that a highly talented HR team is assembled and aligned with the present and future needs of the organization through adept hiring, mentoring, and development.

      Develop workforce plans and programs that align with the organization’s overall strategic objectives and meets the current and future workforce needs.

      Develop and orchestrate skills and development training programs across the organization using key metrics to include: (1) bench strength analysis; (2) High potential turnover rates; (3) succession planning.

      Direct and lead HR functions including staffing, employee relations, training and development, DEI, compensation and benefits, worker compensation, and performance management.

      Confer with organization leaders to plan objectives, to develop policies, and to coordinate specific functions.

      Ensure regulatory compliance with local, state, and national labor laws and wage and benefit laws.

      Oversee all key HR processes.

      Serve as primary company spokesperson for Human Resources.

      Interface with community leaders and outside organizations.

      Ensure development of and adherence to internal corporate policies and procedures, as well external guidelines such as DOL compliance and other external regulatory requirements in the highly regulated healthcare industry.

      Communicate a vision that gives direct reports direction and focuses their efforts; delegates significant responsibilities to team members and holds them accountable.

      Demonstrate leadership competencies and behaviors and model the organization’s cultural values and attributes.

      Act as a strong change management leader; identifies and develops talented individual to drive innovation and transformation change for the organization.

      SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

      Directly supervises the Benefits Manager and Director of Talent Acquisition. Collaborates with facility to provide oversight to site HRBP’s.

      EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

      A bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration or related area from an accredited institution is required. A master’s degree is preferred.

      Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive HR leadership experience with at least five (5) years at a senior management level.

      Demonstrated experience with management at a senior level with a sequence of increasing responsibilities in large and diverse business settings; familiarity with health care or health care related organizations; strategic planning and implementation; experience in working through major organizational change and a track record of working in a geographically diverse complex organization and successful large project implementations; and demonstrated business savvy to work effectively with other Executives to achieve key business and technology goals and project management skills.

      CERTIFICATE, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

      Professional certifications (ie. SPHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
