      Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of North America Retail Sales & Trade Marketing to lead an integrated team (HQ Selling, Field Sales & Education, and Trade Marketing) in achieving ambitious sales goals for two key customers - Ulta Beauty and Sephora - as well as a portfolio of smaller retail partners across North America. The VP of North America Retail Sales & Trade Marketing will be responsible for the integrated Sales, Trade Marketing and Education functions supporting revenue generation for the North America retail channel, including both stores and ecommerce. The person in this role will lead and develop the sales strategies and efficiencies, ensuring revenue targets are planned, aligned, and met to achieve the targeted growth set out by the CEO and Living Proof Leadership Team. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of success in driving sales growth in both the Ulta Beauty and Sephora environments, building strong customer relationships, influencing customer behavior through deep penetration of key decision makers at all levels, and managing a high-performing team.

      Responsibilities:
      • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for North America retail customers, including Ulta Beauty, Sephora, and a portfolio of smaller partners. This will include setting goals, developing strategies and tactics, assessing the Sales team's performance, and aligning sales goals with the company's revenue and profitability targets.
      • Drive sales growth across all sales channels within North America retail, including stores and ecommerce. Leverage the end-to-end capabilities of the multi-functional team supporting NA Retail (Sales, Trade Marketing and Education) to execute with excellence against the Sales strategy to ensure sustainable revenue growth in line with goals.
      • Lead and develop the Trade Marketing team to deliver best-in-class marketing plans with key retailers, growing share of voice and market share for Living Proof. Be viewed as a thought leader by key retailers with innovative trade marketing plans that enable Living Proof to secure key activations and essential exposure to deliver revenue goals.
      • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at retail partners. Actively develop and nurture relationships at all levels of the customer's organization to influence customer behavior in achieving sales goals.
      • Develop and implement Sales and Education training and development programs. Work with partners in Brand Marketing to ensure Sales and Education initiatives are in line with the overall brand's messaging strategies. Leverage these programs to grow Living Proof market share through effective Sales and Education execution in the field including field sales visits, events, visual merchandising, and digital education.
      • Work with cross-functional partners in Finance and Supply Chain to manage sales forecasts. Ensure key building blocks are in place to deliver revenue goals, monitor and forecast sales performance, and convey insights to key stakeholders including recommended strategies to mitigate risks and maximize opportunities.
      • Responsible for communication between the NA Retail team and cross-functional partners across the business including Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain and Finance to ensure alignment and collaboration.
      • Analyze, assess, and evaluate sales trends at NA Retailers to reveal business trends and action opportunities. Deliver insights to cross-functional business partners to ensure business plans support delivery of revenue goals within the channel.

      Requirements

      8+ years of experience in leading multi-functional Sales and Marketing teams up against the Ulta Beauty and/or Sephora North America businesses
      • Proven track record of success in driving sales growth, achieving sales goals, and leading in a fastpaced and dynamic business environment.
      • Deep understanding of the retail landscape and customer buying behaviors, especially at it relates to Ulta Beauty and/or Sephora North America.
      • Creative, innovative, and entrepreneurial, able to lead and manage through fast-growth scenarios and making decisions with limited information.
      • An unwavering commitment to know "what needs to be true" to achieve goals, supported by an unrelenting passion for securing the resources needed to deliver.
      • A proven change agent, able to develop innovative strategies and lead change within a dynamic environment, also inspiring others to do so.
      • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills. A proven ability to penetrate the layers of key decision makers within a customer to make things happen and influence results.
