Title and Summary
Vice President, Policy Operations Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Vice President, Policy Operations. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operational and financial aspects of our public policy initiatives on a global scale.
Role:
• Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure the effective execution of public policy initiatives, with a primary focus on operational efficiency. Support and coordinate team strategy development and execution, including allocation/prioritization of resources.
• Manage budgets and financial resources allocated to public policy operations, ensuring effective allocation and adherence to financial controls.
• Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration and synergy among members work on various aspects of global public policy operations.
• Serve as advisor and thought partner to Policy Leadership Team. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, government affairs, internal business partners, and external partners, to integrate operational and financial considerations into the development and execution of strategic initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards across all global public policy operations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational excellence within the public policy domain, working to streamline workflows and enhance overall efficiency.
• Manage resources effectively to support the operational and financial needs of the public policy team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and budget constraints.
• Assess and mitigate operational and financial risks associated with public policy initiatives, providing proactive solutions to minimize potential challenges.
• Implement and maintain a robust system for tracking government engagements, including meetings and interactions, to ensure comprehensive and accurate records of all interactions.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPls) to monitor the success and impact of public policy operations, regularly reporting on progress to executive leadership. Including budget, efficiency, effectiveness, and leveraging technology.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external, to foster collaboration and facilitate the successful implementation of global public policy operations.
All About You:
• Bachelor's degree in business, public policy, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Proven track record in a leadership role with a focus on operations and financial management, preferably within the public policy, government affairs, or regulatory compliance in a large global organization
• Experience managing operations on a global scale, understanding diverse regulatory environments and cultural nuances.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex operational and financial concepts to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with a focus on strategic problem-solving and decision-making.
