Job Summary

Join UT Southwestern as a Video Producer in the Office of Communications. Producing and project management experience preferred. Ability to shoot and edit is preferred and some photography experience is a plus.

This position falls under a hybrid (office / remote) model and is dependent on the business needs of the department.

Required Experience and Education

A Bachelor's degree in related field is required with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in developing video concepts and productions that combine strategy, message, and content into effective communications that engage a variety of audiences.

Job Duties

• Identify and develop visually compelling stories from concept to completion promoting UT Southwestern\'s achievements in education, research, and patient care. Partner with videographer to produce at least one video a week of varying length and style that highlights UT Southwesterns advances in priority areas including but not limited to brain, cancer, heart, transplant, and education.
• Schedule and conduct interviews both on- and off-campus. Write memorable video scripts and team up with other members of Institutional Promotion to experiment with new ways of video-storytelling, such as science sketches and animations. Edit videos for various audiences, including social media.
• Interact frequently with high-level UT Southwestern executives, department chairs, physicians and researchers on storytelling and overall communications and marketing efforts. Collaborate with colleagues across Institutional Advancement to build brand awareness through powerful video storytelling. Work with the team leader responsible for Institutional Promotion to ensure final product meets all objectives.
• Build both general public and media interest in UT Southwestern and ensure outcomes meet objectives by tracking metrics and incorporating into future efforts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
