Academy of Sound is a community music school founded in 2003 located in Oregon, WI. We offer private lessons, small classes, musicals, and choir opportunities. We feature oversized lesson rooms and a comfortable work environment, with a supportive staff of administrators and teachers who want to see you and your students succeed.

We create a schedule together, based on your availabiilty, room availability, and within our open hours. For the summer, we are open Monday-Thursday 1:00-8:00 PM.

This is a part-time, on-site role located in Oregon, WI for a Private Violin & Viola Teacher at the Academy of Sound. This instructor will take the place of one of our long-time teachers who will be leaving by the end of May 2024. This position already has established students with an established schedule and an anticipated continuation into the summer and beyond. The Private Violin & Viola Teacher will be responsible for providing private lessons and instruction to students on the violin and viola. The Teacher will create individualized lesson plans, facilitate student progress, and encourage a love for music.

• Proficiency in playing the violin and viola
• Strong knowledge of music theory and technique
• Experience teaching private music lessons
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to tailor instruction to individual student needs
• Passion for music and teaching
• Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field (preferred)
• Have reliable transportation, and no potential conflicts with the availability you provide
• Thrive wile working with young musicians in a private lesson setting -- passing a background check is required
