What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist the Events Manager on all aspects of event planning and execution, including pre-event, onsite, and post-event tasks
- Collaborate with event organizing committees and sponsors to plan event scope and format, review administrative procedures, and assist with event promotion
- Facilitate pipeline development for integrating peer-to-peer/virtual/3rd party participants into the annual giving program
- Manage and maintain relationships with fundraising participants and volunteer leaders
- Perform data entry and acknowledgments process, manage event outreach, and execute 3rd party events
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's degree in Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- 1-3 years of demonstrated experience in fundraising, event planning, or a similar role within a nonprofit or relevant industry
- Proven success in developing and executing fundraising strategies, specifically in peer-to-peer and virtual fundraising initiatives
- Proficiency in utilizing digital platforms and fundraising software for campaign management and donor engagement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and donor/event software
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with donor stewardship
- Intermediate proficiency in computer and hard file record keeping and filing procedures
