What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Devise virtual methods to create and maintain a school community
- Provide diagnostic, prescriptive, and evaluative services for identified students
- Conduct parent conferences, review curriculum, and devise alternate approaches to presenting lessons
- Communicate regularly with parents, students, and other teachers to develop and update Personal Learning Plans
- Assess student learning styles and modify curricula as needed for special education students
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Three years of teaching experience with a preference for online instruction
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in Computer Science, Business & Finance, Marketing, ASL, French, German, Spanish, Physical Education, Health, Communication Applications, or Technology Applications
- Ability to learn new technology tools quickly
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
