What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide on-call, virtual, episodic care to patients assessed by nursing staff
- Liaise with nursing staff to create episodic care plans and determine bridging care
- Coordinate with other physicians and NPs to ensure continuity of care
- Address episodic care needs, including mental health and substance use management
- Utilize Profile EMR, PARIS, and Cerner for patient management and care coordination
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) - Full
- Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) - Mandatory
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - Mandatory
- Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) - Mandatory
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in virtual healthcare delivery or crisis response services
- Familiarity with Indigenous health practices and cultural safety principles
- Additional training in mental health or substance use management
