What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide consultative expertise on delivering virtual public meetings and receiving public input
- Serve as a subject matter expert for virtual public meeting processes and software
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for virtual communication with the public
- Exercise independent judgment over technological resources related to virtual public meetings
- Collaborate with various Bureaus and Offices to ensure effective public engagement
What is Required (Qualifications):
- A minimum of ten (10) years of combined education, training, and professional experience in public/business administration or a related area
- Experience in communication, policy development, analysis, and implementation
- Proven ability to exercise independent judgment in professional settings
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with virtual public information software
- Familiarity with public engagement strategies and techniques
- Advanced degree in a related field
- Background in government or public service
- Knowledge of Maine state policies and regulations
