      PURPOSE OF ROLE

      Provides strategic executive leadership oversight, vision, and direction and acts as an advisor for the company’s compliance program with a focus on AML/BSA, OFAC regulations, and operational risk. Ensures compliance with legal, regulatory, and policy requirements.

      EXPECTATIONS

      • Serves as the designated Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Officer, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
      • Develops, implements, and enhances AML/BSA programs, including transaction monitoring, reporting, and employee training.
      • Oversees the organization's compliance with the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations.
      • Manages processes to screen transactions and customers against sanctions lists, ensuring timely resolution of potential matches.
      • Leads comprehensive risk assessments to identify and mitigate operational and compliance risks.
      • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to establish effective controls and monitor their implementation.
      • Develops, maintains, and regularly updates compliance-related policies and procedures to align with regulatory changes and industry best practices.
      • Ensures effective communication and training on compliance policies across the organization.
      • Administers and optimizes the Archer platform for risk and compliance management.
      • Ensures accurate and up-to-date reporting, documentation, and issue tracking within the system.
      • Oversees the identification, escalation, and resolution of compliance-related issues.
      • Maintains robust tracking and reporting mechanisms to ensure timely remediation.
      • Ensures timely and accurate submission of all required regulatory filings related to AML/BSA, sanctions, and other compliance functions.
      • Acts as a liaison with regulatory agencies during audits and examinations.
      • Oversees the management of customer complaints to ensure timely investigation and resolution.
      • Analyzes trends and recommend enhancements to address recurring issues.
      • Designs and executes compliance testing programs to evaluate adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
      • Provides actionable recommendations to address any identified gaps or weaknesses.
      • Performs other duties as assigned.

      • Bachelor’s Degree

      • Business Administration

      QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

      • Minimum 10 years of related experience in compliance risk management, with minimum 5 years in a leadership role.
      • Experience in a regulatory agency examinations and/or compliance is preferred.
      • Knowledge of the mortgage lending process and related legal and regulatory requirements.
      • In-depth understanding of AML/BSA laws, OFAC regulations, and related financial crime compliance frameworks.
      • Comprehensive knowledge of operational and compliance risk assessment methodologies.
      • Familiarity with financial services regulations, trends, and best practices in compliance and governance.
      • Knowledge of compliance platforms such as Archer, and data analysis tools to support risk management and reporting.
      • Capability to develop long-term compliance strategies while addressing immediate operational needs.
      • Proficiency in analyzing complex regulations, risk metrics, and compliance issues to inform decision-making.
      • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with regulators, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
      • Strong aptitude for resolving complex issues and implementing practical, regulatory-compliant solutions.
      • Ability to navigate evolving regulatory landscapes and implement changes quickly and effectively.
      • Ensure accuracy and completeness in regulatory reporting, compliance testing, and issue management.
      • Maintain integrity and sound judgment in sensitive compliance matters.
      • Confidently interact with regulatory agencies during audits, exams, and inquiries.
      • Knowledge of TILA-RESPA Information Disclosure (TRID) and related legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
      • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local guidelines and legal and regulatory requirements for lending and servicing operations to monitor compliance.
      • Knowledge of customer service best practices, trends, and tools.
      • Experience with vendor selection, contract negotiation, and monitoring performance and compliance against expectations.
      • Business acumen, leadership, and data-driven decision-making skills.
      • Requires proficiency in MS Office Suite.
