About the role - We seek an accomplished and dynamic Vice President of Sales to lead our sales organization across the Eastern United States. This executive role will drive revenue growth, build and lead high-performing sales teams, and develop strategic relationships with enterprise customers. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cloud technologies and maintain strong relationships within the AWS and Google Cloud ecosystems. This position will report directly to the SVP of Sales and will play a crucial role in our company's growth strategy.
What you'll do - Meet or exceed revenue targets across the Eastern US territories by developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies.
- Identify, develop, and close major key deals as a player-coach.
- Build, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing enterprise sales organization
- Establish and nurture strategic relationships with key decision-makers at AWS and Google Cloud to drive co-selling opportunities
- Create and implement territory plans, sales forecasts, and pipeline management processes
- Work closely with AWS and Google Cloud partner teams to identify and pursue joint customer opportunities
- Oversee complex enterprise sales cycles from initial engagement through contract negotiation and closure
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure alignment of sales initiatives
- Represent the company at industry events, AWS/Google Cloud regional summits, and customer conferences
- Analyze sales performance metrics and make strategic adjustments to optimize team effectiveness
- Participate in quarterly business reviews with AWS and Google Cloud partnership teams
- Manage the regional sales budget and resource allocation effectively
- Report on sales activities, pipelines, and forecasts to executive leadership
Qualifications - 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in enterprise technology sales, focusing on professional or managed services.
- High energy, "getting the job done" mentality
- 5+ years in a senior sales leadership role managing teams in the Eastern US
- Demonstrated success selling cloud-based solutions through or alongside AWS and Google Cloud
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets at scale
- Deep understanding of AWS and Google Cloud service offerings, marketplace dynamics, and partnership models
- Strong network of relationships with AWS and Google Cloud sales leaders, partner development managers, and solution architects
- Experience with AWS Partner Network and Google Cloud Partner Advantage programs
- Excellent understanding of enterprise sales methodologies and complex sales cycles
- Outstanding leadership abilities with experience building and scaling sales organizations
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills at the executive level
- Experience selling to customers across multiple verticals in the Eastern US
