      Description

      An understandable, anchorable, and fast simulation environment allows the entire company to develop autonomy and train quickly and without fear. As a VSW Simulation Engineer, your primary responsibility will be owning the vehicle software simulation environment. This ranges from ingesting and optimizing a realtime fluids model, Simulink connections, underlying autonomy framework improvements and end user (RE) environment support. You will also be expected to dogfood your product, helping build large portions of flight one and launch pad autonomy. You must stay focused, move fast, self-direct, and learn on the fly.

      Responsibilities

      • Own sim and test infrastructure for vehicle software state machines and control loops
      • Support development of systems autonomation for Nova
      • Collaborate with non-software engineers to understand the rocket and support I&T

      Qualifications

      • Experience in Python and Rust
      • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field/experience
      • Experience with software framework architectures
      • Experience with simulation design
      • Experience with state machines
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

      • Experience with lumped parameter modeling
      • Experience with simulink
      • Experience with fluids systems
      • Experience with electronics systems
      • Experience with hardware in the loop testbeds

      Compensation

      Target Levels:

      • Level 2 Range: $117,600 - $176,400
      • Level 3 Range: $147,000 - $220,500
      • Level 4 Range: $183,700 - $275,600
