      Job summary

      To provide a high-quality efficient administration and clerical service to ward staff, visitors and patients

      To provide a reception service, acting as first point of contact on the telephone or face to face, for patients, visitors and other healthcare professionals

      To facilitate good communication with other wards and departments involved in patient care or ward/departmental functioning

      To input data regarding all admissions, transfers and discharges onto Patient Administration System.

      Main duties of the job

      To assist in the provision of high standard care by providing a high quality efficient administration and clerical service to unit staff, visitors and patients

      Provide a reception service, acting as first point of contact on the telephone or face to face, for patients, visitors and other healthcare professionals facilitating effective communication.

      To input data regarding all admissions, transfers and discharges onto Patient Administration System.

      To work in a collaborative and co-operative manner and to recognise and respect their particular contribution within the care team.
