- Plan, implement, manage, and control all areas of the site warehouse operations and costs with maximum efficiency to ensure it exceeds customer expectations
- Set, agree, and manage objectives and KPI’s with Warehouse Operation Controllers, and support in the cascading of objectives to FLMs
- Support in the devising of and execute the vision for the site by working closely with the site senior team and ensure it is aligned with the client’s strategy
- Manage all assets and activities within the scope of the warehouse operation through clearly communicated processes and KPI’s to achieve contractual requirements to meet the customer’s needs
- Create, through effective leadership and clearly defined processes, an operationally robust programme for building ‘world class’ health and safety standards including NSF Food Hygiene and HSE requirements
- Previous experience as an Operations Manager or similar level role in a large, fast-paced warehousing environment, ideally with exposure to food logistics
- The ability to lead, develop and mentor a large, diverse operational team, recognising talent and inspiring them to success
- Be enthusiastic, driven and have a “can-do” attitude, as well as having the ability to think outside of the box and demonstrate true entrepreneurial spirit
- Generally strong IT skills, IOSH or equivalent Health and Safety qualification and or HACCP would be desirable

We’re looking for a Warehouse Manager to join us on a full-time, permanent basis at our Costa Coffee & Whitbread site in Trafford Park, Manchester. Where you will manage all aspects of the warehouse function ensuring delivery of operational excellence and exceeding customer expectations, whilst ensuring quality, compliance and KPI’s are met. Ensuring that all processes and procedures are undertaken in a safe and healthy manner and that we invest in the development of our people, processes, facilities, and deployment of best practices.
This is a fast-paced 24/7 site so whilst hours are Monday to Friday, some flexibility will be required, this is logistics after all!
