Shift patterns: Rotational 6am - 14:00 then 14:00 - 22:00

DHL, award winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Warehouse Shift Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including the storage and dispatch of volume orders and goods.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• Plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet operational requirements across the site
• Direct the daily activity to ensure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for team members
• Take proactive approach to ensure housekeeping is managed and maintained to goods manufacturing practice
• Facilitate effective communication - verbally and written
• Ensure company policies are communicated, applied and enforced ,all staff to be briefed with all updates and changes .
• Work in collaboration with Line Manager to ensure all training needs are completed In line with DHL standard
• Effective communication with team and customers (written and verbally)

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Excellent organisational skills
• Minimum of 1 year experience of team management
• Good analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, motivation and planning skills
• Excellent communicator (verbal & written
• Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
• Knowledge of Co-pack production - desirable
• Production experience - desirable
• Good problem solving skills
• Leadership and management experence -Essential

A recognised qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be preferred and well received.
