      We are currently hiring a Warming Station Staff Member, to work in our Delaware, Otsego, & Schoharie Agency. This is a seasonal/temporary position. As the Warming Station Staff Member, you would be responsible for:

      • Providing direct services to individuals who are homeless through the warming station.
      • Completing an intake for the warming station, enforcing all policies and procedures of the warming station, interacting with guests at the warming station, and providing information and referrals for needed services and programs to guests.
      • Light cleaning, disinfecting, and set-up of the warming station, picking up the warming station upon its closure, as well as preparing beverages and food distribution.

      Warming Station Staff Member Minimum Salary: $30.00/hour

      Warming Station Staff Member Maximum Salary: $30.00/hour

      Warming Station Staff Member Schedule: 16 hours per week, typical shifts include Monday – Sunday, 5:00pm – 12:30am, 12:30am – 8:00am

      Qualifications:

      • High School Diploma or GED
      • CPR Certification recommended but not required
      • No experience is necessary, but skills include: Interpersonal; read/comprehend written instructions; ability to follow verbal instructions; Able to work as a part of a team; computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
      • Must be able to manage stress appropriately, make good decisions under pressure, be able to manage anger/fear/hostility/violence of others appropriately, and maintain strict confidentiality
      • Working conditions may include exposure to communicable diseases and staff must be able to stay awake in dim and dark and quiet conditions during nighttime/overnight hours
      • Minimum requirements also include the ability to hear alarms/telephone/normal speaking voice
      • Physical requirements include medium work (exerts up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly), and staff must be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds and be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
