      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Collect, interpret, and apply scientific information related to water quality and aquatic invasive species
      - Develop, communicate, and present technical information to various audiences and collaborate with partners
      - Scope, design, and implement monitoring, planning, or protection/restoration projects
      - Manage fish, wildlife, forests, parks, air, and water resources while promoting a healthy environment
      - Travel throughout the assigned area for meetings and project oversight

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Training, experience, and/or education in environmental or water resource science, aquatic ecology, or related field
      - Experience collecting and interpreting scientific data from water quality reports or similar sources
      - Proven ability to develop and present technical information effectively
      - Experience in scoping or implementing environmental monitoring or restoration projects
      - Must possess a Boating Safety Education Certificate within the first 3 months of employment

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - A graduate degree or higher in environmental or water resource science, aquatic ecology, or related field
      - Experience writing or contributing to environmental management or restoration plans
      - Knowledge of Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources policies and regulations
      - Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders on environmental projects
      - Familiarity with urban/regional planning or natural resource conservation practices
