- Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; and following the software development lifecycle
- Create database tables
- Use HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and other relevant web design coding languages
- Design, write efficient codes, and implement software solutions with C#.NET on ASP.NET/MVC framework
- Implement and maintain web application security measures to protect data and ensure compliance with the Department’s policy and individual bureau’s regulations
- Build applications that include dynamic web content systems and services such as QuickBase, SharePoint, or gateways to other services
- Improves or enhances solutions through user feedback or by the changes in policies and procedures
- Maintain existing systems; clear up application-related helpdesk tickets
- Deploy programs and train users
- Regularly update and maintain existing web applications for optimal performance and scalability. This includes debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing application code as well as updating application features and functionalities
- Work closely with other developers and business stakeholders to ensure that the web applications align with the Department’s goals and user needs. Provide technical support and guidance during all phases of project development
- Perform additional duties as required by a supervisor
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, OR
- High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalence with a minimum of six (6) years of experience in software development
- Proven experience as a Web Developer C#.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET; and relational database
- Must have a high level of competency in programming in the use of, but not limited to, Visual Studio .NET, ASP.NET, C#.NET, JavaScript, HTML, AJAX, and other high-level languages, programming tools, and design tools
- Must be skilled in working with Cascading Style sheet (CSS), designing web page layouts, and creating user navigation flow
- Strong understanding of web development technologies and frameworks
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- IT Support
- Database: SQL, Access, Oracle
- Proficient with report writing skills and communicating effectively
- Strong communication – both written and verbal
- Excellent written communication with proper use of grammar, spelling, and punctuation

- Maintain accurate electronic documentation of daily records
- Excellent time management skills and effectively prioritize and schedule multiple tasks/initiatives

- Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite ( Word, Excel, Outlook ) and Adobe with the ability to learn new software and become proficient shortly after training

The primary responsibility is to develop high-quality, scalable, and efficient websites and applications using a variety of technologies, including C#, ASP.NET Core, QuickBase, and SharePoint. This role involves working closely with our IT team and business stakeholders to design, develop, and implement websites and applications that uphold and advance our department's core values.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This role is sedentary, however, the ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds is necessary to lift files and/or boxes of files, documents, etc.
Position Type and Typical Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours may vary based on the business needs of the department.
