- Established knowledge of web publishing and digital project management required.
- Must also have a grounding in web design principles, process, and best practices.
- Knowledge of server management and ticketing system management is a plus.

Wexner Center for Arts | Communications and MarketingIn coordination with the Wexner Center's Head of Communications and Marketing, Design Director, and Director of Marketing Content, the Web Developer will work in partnership with the Design and Communications and Marketing teams to execute short-term tactics and long-term plans as part of an overall integrated brand and marketing strategy for the Wexner Center for the Arts. Duties include writing well-designed, testable, and efficient code for wexarts.org, store.wexarts.org, responsive email templates, center-wide promotional screens, and other rich digital web content. Similarly, the Web Developer will provide back-end support of all Wexner Center web platforms in partnership with the Business Systems Analyst, including wexarts.org and its Drupal CMS, store.wexarts.org, ticketing platform implementation, and other various evolving digital tools. The Web Developer will assist with the troubleshooting of back-end technical issues with the University's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). The web developer will also report the measurement of website analytics monthly and share reporting data to members of the communications and marketing team for their analysis.
The Web Developer will be a front-line advocate for the Wexner Center in all areas of the digital space, contributing to strategies and plans which harness new online developments, all toward ensuring the Wexner Center's audience engagement goals, customer experience, accessibility standards, UI and UX across our sites, and brand development. Hours vary and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Requires successful completion of background check prior to start date.
Duties Description
35% Working in partnership with the Business Systems Analyst and Ohio State’s OCIO, this position is responsible for maintaining and implementing back-end infrastructure for wexarts.org, store.wexarts.org, digital signage, email templates, and any mobile applications. Duties include programming and maintenance for all backend services as well as keeping our electronic presences visible, functional and compliant with web accessibility and IT standards. On a daily basis takes inventory of all wexarts.org digital properties and makes fixes and updates as needed.
35% working in partnership with Design and Content teams, this position codes, develops, implements, tests, and maintains design solutions for all front facing content with a focus on user experience, user interface, and functionality. This includes wexarts.org, store.wexarts.org, digital signage, email templates, and mobile applications. This position works with designers to match visual design intent and to scale and improve wexarts.org from design concept to build completion and launch. The web developer will also report the measurement of website analytics monthly and share reporting data to members of the communications and marketing team for their analysis, including such info as
15% Works with Communications and Marketing team to aid in keeping the center’s electronic presence current with content. Serves as a cross-trained back-up to Digital Content Editor when needed.
10% Stays plugged into emerging technologies and digital industry trends as well as recommends and applies them to operations and activities when applicable.
5% Other duties as assigned by Head of Communications and Marketing and Director of Marketing Content
