      Work Schedule: This is a temporary position starting November 11th through February 14th. Work hours are Mon-Fri, 9:30am to 4pm.

      The Welcome Baby Boutique Coordinator oversees the storefront and operations for the Women’s Hospital Welcome Baby Boutique, including merchandise management, and provides support with breast pumps and breastfeeding merchandise to patients/clients. The position also will assist with Women's Hospital Gift Shop activities. The position will maintain an office at the Women's Hospital, and will report to the Guest Services Manager.

      Responsibilities:

      Essential Job Functions

      Coordinates the patient registration and insurance reimbursement process for breast pumps, facilitates sales and rentals of pumps and related merchandise to patients, and offers instructions on use for pumps and related breastfeeding equipment. 40%

      Orders Welcome Baby Boutique merchandise and pumps and researches new products for the Boutique to remain competitive in the market. 20%

      Maintains breastfeeding product store room, facilitates cleaning and maintenance of rental pumps and ensures compliance with regulations/standards. 10%

      Regularly interfaces with Lactation Consultants (LC) and facilitates LC requests. Helps to coordinate private consultations and maintains adjacent Lactation Room. 10%

      Provides support to the Gift Shop and its volunteers through assistance with sales, ordering supplies, training, merchandise display, and opening/closing functions of the Gift Shop. 15%

      Assists with department facilitated fundraisers for NMH and MWH hospitals. 5%

      Promotes positive relations when interacting with patients, visitors, providers, customers and co-workers

      Assists with other duties as assigned.

      Job Requirements

      Education

      • Associate's Degree in communications, business, or marketing preferred.
      • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (G.E.D.) required.


      Experience

      • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a retail environment, hospital, and/or a non-profit organization required.


      License/Certifications

      • Strong customer service skills.
      • Ability to work with a diverse group of employees, volunteers, and customers.
      • Knowledge of cash handling techniques.

      • Skilled in the use of personal computers, and general office equipment (Microsoft Office Retail management Software is a plus).
