      Job Title: Welder

      Job Description

      Candidates will adjust welding current to proper weld configurations along with heating and forming metal parts and components using hand tools, torch, or welding equipment. Candidates will weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. They will accurately operate and read measuring devices, assemble, and weld various metal parts together. They will be doing production welding inside for 10-12 hours a day.

      Responsibilities

      • Adjust welding current to proper weld configurations
      • Heat and form metal parts and components using hand tools, torch, or welding equipment
      • Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
      • Accurately operate and read measuring devices
      • Assemble and weld various metal parts together
      • Perform production welding inside for 10-12 hours a day

      Essential Skills

      • Experience with Mig welding
      • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
      • Experience in welding and fabrication
      • Proficiency in flux core welding
      • 6+ months of welding experience either through education or work
      • Must pass weld test: Vertical Down weld test (wire feed/Mig)

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • No high school diploma/GED required

      Work Environment

      Manufacturing environment can be very warm in the summer. There are 250 full-time employees. The dress code includes jeans and steel-toed boots (no shorts). PPE required includes a welding helmet, welding vest, and steel-toed boots. Hours: 5am - 3:15pm (1st shift) Monday-Thursday.

      This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albert Lea, Minnesota

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
