Must attend all sessions of the introductory peer education training
Current University of Arkansas student
Must possess Adult First Aid, CPR, and AED certification or be able to obtain certification within 40 days of hire (UREC will provide an opportunity if needed)
Experience sharing “lessons learned” as a result of their own personal wellness journey and provide advice/be a resource to students that will assist them with their academic and personal success as a student
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to show empathy
Ability to be creative and innovative
Ability to work as part of a team

Wellness peer educators provide culturally competent campus-wide awareness and education through the research, planning, development, and implementation of presentations, outreach, and programming in alignment with the goals of UARK Wellness and University Recreation (UREC).
Summary of Job Duties:
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
