Wind Turbine Technician for Nearshore Windfarms

Job Description

- driving a positive safety culture through your actions
- performing troubleshooting and repairing of electrical and mechanical components, as some technicians will perform the duties of an authorised person on HV equipment
- servicing and maintaining offshore wind turbines and balance of plant equipment
- utilising software systems to accurately record all elements of your daily work, incl. hours worked, spare parts used, and technical work order reports
- preparing and packing spare parts, tools, and other equipment for all elements of maintenance or troubleshooting work
- being proactive in maintaining and upskilling your competence level and the safety certification required for the job.
- have a full apprenticeship in a relevant discipline, such as electrical or mechanical engineering, preferably with further qualifications, such as BTEC or HNC
- meet the physical, medical, and psychological requirements for working offshore, working a 7on/7off shift pattern, 11.5hrs a day with unsociable hours.
- have an aptitude for working at heights and in restricted or confined spaces
- are self-motivated and enjoy working both independently and as a member of a team with a calm and controlled approach to problem-solving
- are well-experienced in troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical components and adept in using your own initiative to complete tasks
- must live within a 45-minute radius of site and are able to commute daily.

You’ll be part of East Coast Operations where you, together with your colleagues, will be working from our East Coast Hub, a state-of-the-art facility in the Port of Grimsby.
