What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the initial point of contact for potential home health patients, coordinating with Home Health nurses
- Manage new referrals and ongoing follow-ups, acting as a liaison between patients, families, and referral sources
- Exercise discretion and make independent judgments while adhering to established guidelines
- Maintain composure during challenging interpersonal interactions, ensuring effective communication
- Utilize Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and Word, for documentation and reporting

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of recent relevant experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-9 coding
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-up
- Active listening skills and effective telephone communication abilities

- Proficiency in additional software or coding systems relevant to healthcare
