What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Investigate, review, evaluate, and administer workers' compensation claims
- Review medical reports and set reserves for claims
- Interview and correspond with claimants, witnesses, attorneys, and physicians
- Approve claims or recommend denial based on established protocols
- Represent the employer at various workers' compensation and industrial leave claims actions and hearings
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma with 5 years of experience in Claims and Litigation OR a Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of experience in Claims and Litigation
- Knowledge of claims handling and legal statutes and procedures
- Customer service experience
- Workers' Comp experience in California, Texas, and Pennsylvania preferred
- Strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with non-subscriber claims
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to function in diverse environments with various conditions
- Familiarity with health-related requirements in relation to Medicare and Medicaid
