What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits specific to Advanced Wound Care and Negative Pressure Wound Therapy
- Initiate and follow up on authorizations with third-party payors for wound care-related HCPCS codes
- Process authorizations electronically using payer portals, fax, or telephone
- Maintain accurate documentation and track pending authorizations to expedite the claims process
- Interact with insurance companies to secure retroactive authorizations and single case agreements for out-of-network patients

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate degree or equivalent; 2-4 years of related experience and/or training
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with insurance payers and medical benefits
- Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to work as part of a team
