What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve on and support a statewide Youth Advisory Board while coordinating with other youth initiatives
- Share personal lived experiences on panels to model effective storytelling
- Assist young people in serving on committees to represent young adult perspectives
- Contribute creative ideas to outreach and training efforts for youth and young adult issues
- Plan and implement various youth activities, including retreats and panels throughout the year
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Lived experience accessing mental health/behavioral health services
- Must reside in Prince George's County
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- Current Maryland driver's license and access to a vehicle for in-state travel
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with social media and adherence to guidelines for promotion and outreach
- Ability to work with diverse youth and young adults, including those from LGBTQIA+ backgrounds
