      Anticipated Start Date:

      Early April 2025

      Anticipated End Date (If Applicable):

      Upon successful completion of our training program in Fall 2023 and completion of the Zumba Basic 1 license workshop, trainees are eligible to be hired as Zumba Instructors for Rec Well

      Anticipated Hours Per Week:

      Minimum: 5 hours Maximum: 10 hours

      Schedule:

      5-10 hours per week, including weekends and nights. Based on semester group fitness schedule. Hours range from 6:40 AM to 8:50 PM M-F and weekends

      Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum:

      Minimum: $15.00/ per hour Maximum: $20.00/ per hour

      Depending on needs

      Qualifications:

      Must be a UW-Madison student studying on campus in 2025-2026.

      Experience attending Rec Well zumba classes preferred

      No teaching experience necessary

      Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

      Passionate to learn about exercise and leading zumba classes

      Leadership, strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills

      Enjoy working with people

      Position Summary/Job Duties:

      Zumba Instructor Trainees attend training sessions, are assigned a mentor and co-lead an assigned weekly zumba class with their mentor.

      If selected, you will be invited for a tryout. The tryout consists of the candidate teaching 3 assigned Zumba songs (10-12 minutes). Candidates will be provided with choreography and music to learn the 3 songs. Candidates will be contacted to coordinate a tryout date/time.

      Training & Mentoring Program

      We’ll teach you everything you need to know.
      Attend an Orientation and initial Zumba training session in late March, 2025.
      Co-lead with a current Zumba instructor one class each week during the Spring 2025 semester.
      Complete the Zumba basic one workshop before September 2025 to become licensed to teach Zumba.

      Physical Demands:

      Fitness level congruent with demands of teaching zumba classes.
